2018 was a busy and exciting year for us at Frontity. There were a lot of changes taking place. Now that January has already passed and we’ve gained some perspective, we are looking back at the milestones achieved last year.
A few months ago, we announced that we had discontinued our platform and app submission services to place all of our focus on Progressive Web Apps (PWAs). Today, we have some more exciting news to share: we’ve raised a €400K seed round led by K Fund and are rebranding to Frontity!
The slickest, most beautiful UI is nothing if it isn’t slick and responsive. It doesn’t matter if you run a blog, an E-Commerce site, or if you’re a multi-national conglomerate. If your site takes half a minute to load, users who otherwise might be your customers might start voting with their feet.
As you might know, Worona was born in 2015 in an effort to make it easy and affordable for people to build mobile apps. After the success of our first prototype, we launched a whole new platform about a year ago to offer a better app building experience to our users.
We are happy to announce that we’ve recently closed a €100,000 seed round of funding from three Spanish angel investors: José María Torroja, Walter Kobylanski and Diego Mariño. We plan to use the seed funds to expand our team, develop new features to make our product more competitive and focus our marketing strategies on customer acquisition.
